Aquarian: JU's Literary and Arts Magazine

Edition 57: "NON-OMNIS MORIAR."

"I Shall Not Wholly Die." 

Aquarian is opening submissions to current students! We will accept up to 10 submissions per submitter and we ask you to submit them each individually. Each piece asks for an artist biography as well as a description/explanation of the piece. This is especially important for visual pieces as they will be used for accessibility purposes. 

This edition of Aquarian is themed, "Non-Omnis Moriar," translating to, "I Shall Not Wholly Die," in Latin. Feel free to submit any work you feel capture's this theme in any way. We want to see your interpretations!

Deadline to submit is December 11th by midnight.

Aquarian's statement on the use of Artificial Intelligence: Aquarian Magazine only accepts pieces which reflect JU student intelligence and creativity. All intelligence must be human. If AI was used in any part of your creative process, you MUST disclose so. This may affect our decision on whether or not to accept your piece.

Submit to Audio/Video Submission

We have a limit of 10 minutes per piece submitted. 

For dance submissions,  the choreography has to be original.

For music submissions, the lyrics and instrumental compositions/rearrangements must be original. They do not have to contain lyrics.

For performance and film, such as spoken word or acting, the script must be original.

We ask you to insert a link to a public and posted YouTube video containing the audio or video you would like to submit. If you require assistance, please email us at the email below, or DM us on Instagram @ju_aquarian_

Do not place your name or any identifying information on the submitted file.

Submit to 2D Submission

We ask you to attach a scanned copy properly cropped and framed, which would be deemed ready for publication. If you require assistance, please email us at the email below, or DM us on Instagram @ju_aquarian_

Submit to 3D Submission

We ask you to attach image(s) of your piece, with multiple angles allowed and a plain background. If you require assistance, please email us at the email below, or DM us on Instagram @ju_aquarian_

Submit to Photography Submission

Any type of photography is accepted (Portraits, Landscapes, Still-Life, Photojournalism, Wildlife, Action, Aerial, Fashion, etc).  We ask you to attach a scanned copy which would be deemed ready for publication. Submit to Poetry Submission

Any poetic style is accepted (Limerick, Ode, Elegy, Epic, Sestina, Blank verse, Sonnet, Free Verse, Haiku, etc).  All work must be your own. Do not place your name or any identifying information on the submitted file.  We ask you to attach a scanned copy which would be deemed ready for publication. Submit to Prose Submission

We have a limit of 10 pages double-spaced per piece in order to fit it into the publication (Creative-Nonfiction, Fiction, Heroic, etc). No academic papers will be accepted. (Does it need a works cited? Then its academic)  All work must be your own. Do not place your name or any identifying information on the submitted file.  We ask you to attach a scanned copy which would be deemed ready for publication.
